Описание: In the Kargil War, among the many challenges faced by the Indian Armed Forces, W.C. Gaurav Sawant highlights one instance where the enemy defenses didn’t even need to use their infantry or artillery to target Indian soldiers. Instead, they rolled down massive boulders and rocks to kill them. In response, the army requested the Air Force to use air power and destroy some of these enemy defenses and their 'sangars'. The Indian Air Force rose to the occasion. Wing Commander Anil Sinha and his team revolutionized warfare by enhancing MI-17 helicopters with cutting-edge innovations: hand-held GPS for precise navigation through treacherous terrain, armor plating for protection against enemy fire, and countermeasure flares to evade heat-seeking missiles.
