How to hike to the Solheimasandur Plane Wreck in Iceland

Описание: In this video I'm going to tell you how to hike to the Solheimasandur Plane Wreck in Iceland on the black sand beach next to Skogafoss waterfall. The abandoned plan crash-site of the DC-3 airplane (Douglass C-117D) is located about 10 kilometers from Skogafoss and 2.5 hour drive from Reykjavic city center. The trail and parking lot / carpark is located more than 2 miles north of the plane crash site. The overall hike to and from the plane wreck is over 4 miles , and takes one or two hours to walk there. The trail to the plane is somewhat obvious, or you can just walk south on the black sand beach of Iceland.
