Denny Dias performed the guitar solo in Teeth II. Beginning on Pretzel Logic, Steely Dan began swapping out their touring band members with studio musicians. Here is an example of a song with the original guitarist and a new drummer, in Jeff Porcaro.
The opening interlude in Teeth II is an excerpt from a instrumental jam that Steely Dan played while touring around 1974. It was only later used as the intro for Teeth II, giving the song an amazing juxtaposition.
The keyboard solo on Teeth I is played by Fagen himself.
