Artist Statement: This piece represents the idea of feeling like you are being controlled by someone through every action, word, and movement, almost like a puppet or a doll. The dancer that differs from the others in the piece represents possession and entrapment through her movement. The other dancers struggle to understand the situation as they watch someone else being controlled, almost like a bystander that doesn't know how to make an impact. The piece highlights wanting to make an impact on a situation but not knowing how to.
