The 8th Fortaleza-Austral Spring School will take place from September 1–5, 2025, hosted by the Graduate Program in Tropical Marine Sciences (PPGCMT) at the Institute of Marine Sciences – LABOMAR, Federal University of Ceará (UFC), in Fortaleza, Brazil. This year’s edition will focus on the theme Marine Animal Forests.
The Spring School 2025 will be held in person, but the sessions from September 1–3 will also be streamed online, making it possible for a wider audience to join.
The event will begin with a special opening ceremony, led by Professor Sergio Rossi, host of the event and researcher at the Institute of Marine Sciences (LABOMAR/UFC), an international reference in benthic biodiversity and global change. The occasion will feature the presence of LABOMAR’s leadership and invited authorities.
