The 90-Degree ESQUIRE Problem | Opening Suite

Описание: My whole playing posture is set up so that I can strike the strings with my thumb nail at a 90-degree angle. The problem that sets up is how to best place my entire forearm and wrist on the guitar in a way that is comfortable and enables playing over long stretches of time. Using the jazz bass ashtray cover makes things comfortable for my wrist. Trying to cushion the bottom edge of the guitar body makes things feel better on my forearm. But I am still working out how to balance stamina, flow, and precision. There are some moments in this session where I'm losing the flow of the strumming. My thought is that it is down to breathing and being rested. I am doing these sessions right after long work days that are often stressful. Yes, the process of playing eases that stress and is rejuvenating but as far as being ready to play in mind and body when I first sit down I am still working on that. . .

Other thing for today is that I put a new low string on and the bass was sounding fierce!
