I know, I know, I'm no Richard Smallwood. Far from it! The point of all of my videos is teach you how to play by ear. This comes first by being given the correct chord progressions, practicing, and applying this knowledge to other songs.
The chord notations are not necessarily named according to the “proper” conventions; rather, I name the chords in a way I have found to be easier to recall. The simpler the better.
This is my take on this song. That’s part of what is so enjoyable about playing by ear - you can play a song a little, or a lot differently, every time you play it! Contrary to what some say, I don’t believe there is a wrong way and a right way to play a song. Music is art, which means it is YOUR interpretation.
Once you understand how chords work together you realize that you have unlocked hundreds of other songs which use the same basic chord structure!
