Natural Edge Briar Root - Woodturning

Описание: Hello and welcome! In this woodturning video I will be making a natural edge bowl from a chunk of Briar root. This wood is fairly dense and naturally heat resistant so is often used for making tobacco pipes.
Shaped, sanded and finished up with danish oil.

This piece of wood has been kicking about the workshop for the longest time so was nice to finally make something with it not to mention a good opportunity to grab a jar of its shavings for the collection.

The first proper use of my Microclimate Air3 powered respirator too, great product which I was very kindly sent to try out. First impressions, the visibility is amazing, it's a lot lighter than my other face shield despite being a little bigger and it's very comfortable to wear!
It's also nice to use a mask which lets me keep the beard, that's a big plus!
