We travel to the famous Frank Perham Quarries (Harvard, Waisanen, Tamminen) in Oxford County, Maine. These pegmatite exposures are rich in Tourmaline (primarily Schorl), Garnets, Muscovite (mica), and a host of other minerals.
This is Part Two of a Two-Part series.
UPDATE: There is a NEW trail to the Harvard Quarry. Please use this new, easier trail, and DO NOT use the trail that we used in the video, per request of the property owners. Here is a map of the new trail (in green)
