A Tucson man is behind bars, awaiting trial, accused of being a leader of 764, a violent online extremist network that federal investigators say uses gaming and social media platforms to groom and extort children.
Baron Cain Martin, seen in bodycam video from 2023, where he was involved in a traffic crash. Federal prosecutors allege Martin was a leader in the 764 network that they say terrorizes teens online.
Baron Cain Martin faces 29 counts in a federal indictment. Prosecutors say he authored a document called the "Grooming/Manipulation Egirls Guide" — described in court documents as a playbook written "to teach 764 members how to identify, groom and extort juvenile victims." The guide instructed members to target children "struggling with mental health — specifically eating disorders and self-harm."
