Chori Chori is a 1956 Hindi-language comedy romantic film directed by Anant Thakur and starring Raj Kapoor and Nargis . Bhagwan Dada , Pran , David , and Johnny Walker appear as character actors. The music is by Shankar-Jaikishan and it became a huge hit. The 1991 film Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin is based on the story.

Chori Chori › Film synopsis :
When her father disapproves of her relationship with Sumankumar, Kammo runs away to be with him. However, when she meets Sagar, a simple journalist, she falls in love with him, which changes her life.

Plot :
Kammo ( Nargis ) lives a very affluent lifestyle with her widower millionaire father, Girdharilal. He wants her to marry someone who is not after his wealth. He is dismayed when she chooses to marry a pilot named Suman Kumar ( Pran ), who is known for his adultery and greed. When he refuses to marry her, she runs away. He publishes an advertisement for her safe return, offering a reward of Rs. 1.25 lakh to anyone who finds and brings her back.

Four days later, Kammo returns and is no longer the same; she is more polite, calm, and respectful. Her father praises her for this and agrees to her marriage to Suman Kumar. Just before the wedding, a man named Sagar ( Raj Kapoor ) approaches them—a meeting that will change their lives forever.
