Описание: Welcome to Targa Tasmania 2025, where they close down real Tasmanian public roads so you can watch racers take on mountain stages at pace. If you’ve never seen Targa before, here’s a quick breakdown:

Targa Tour:
The Targa Tour cars are first vehicles you will see on the Targa stages once the roads are officially closed, and they will come through in close-knit 'packets' of around ten cars, led by a Targa Tour Leader. These vehicles are usually standard road cars not competing in the event, and they are speed limited to 120km/h.

Targa Competition:
Targa competition vehicles run from fastest to slowest. The cars start at thirty second intervals and race against the clock, and themselves, with the fastest car over all stages being crowned the winner of Targa Tasmania. The vehicle numbers are based on the competition category that car is entered in, and the competition field is split into three different maximum speed limits: 130km/h, 160km/h and 190km/h. The cars within the highest speed limit category will come through the stage first, followed by the lower speed limited vehicles.

As speeds increase, so does the mandatory safety gear: medical clearance, motorsport licences, roll cages, harnesses, helmets, RallySafe tracking, onboard cameras and scrutineering.
