Описание: தமிழ்நாட்டில் லோக் ஆயுக்தா சட்டம் 2018 முதல் செயல் பட்டு வருகிறது. இந்த அமைப்பு அரசு பதவியில் உள்ள IAS, IPS போன்ற உயர் அதிகாரிகள் மற்றும் அமைச்சர்கள் எம்எல்ஏக்கள் முதலமைச்சர் உட்பட யார் மீதான லஞ்சம் ஊழல் அதிகார துஷ்பிரயோகம் அரசு பணத்தை மோசடி செய்தல் போன்ற குற்றச்சாட்டுகளை விசாரிக்கும் ஒரு தன்னாட்சி கொண்ட அமைப்பு ஆகும். இந்த அமைப்பு நேரடியாக வழக்கு பதிவு செய்ய முடியாது என்றாலும் வழக்கு பதிவு செய்வதற்கும் உரிய நடவடிக்கை எடுப்பதற்கும் பரிந்துரைகளை சிபாரிசு செய்யும். இந்த பரிந்துரைகள் கட்டாயமாக நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும். கர்நாடகா மற்றும் மகாராஷ்டிரா மாநிலங்களில் லோக் ஆயுக்தாவுக்கு என்று தனி போலீஸ் படை உள்ளது. தமிழ்நாட்டில் லோக் ஆயுக்தாவிற்கு என்று தனியாக போலீஸ் இல்லை என்றாலும் இதற்கு உதவியாக லஞ்ச ஒழிப்புத்துறை போலீஸ் அல்லது லோக்கல் போலீஸ் உதவி கேட்டு பெற்றுக் கொள்வர். தமிழ்நாட்டை பொறுத்தவரை இதன் செயல்பாடு மற்றும் முக்கியத்துவம் குறித்து பொதுமக்களுக்கு போதுமான விழிப்புணர்வு இல்லாமல் இருந்து வருவதால் அது குறித்த ஒரு விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்துவது தான் இந்த பதிவின் நோக்கம்.

Tamil Nadu, the Lokayukta Act has been in effect since 2018. This autonomous body investigates allegations of bribery, corruption, abuse of power, and misappropriation of government funds against high-ranking officials such as IAS and IPS officers, as well as ministers, MLAs, and even the Chief Minister. Although this body cannot directly register cases, it makes recommendations for registering cases and taking appropriate action. These recommendations must be implemented. In Karnataka and Maharashtra, the Lokayukta has its own police force. While Tamil Nadu does not have a separate police force for the Lokayukta, it can seek assistance from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption or the local police. The purpose of this post is to raise awareness among the public about the functioning and importance of the Lokayukta in Tamil Nadu, as there is a lack of sufficient public awareness regarding it.
