Melody Review Activities for the Beginning of the Year

Описание: Many of us begin the school year wondering what students remember, and how we'll know.

So let's look at a process for melodic review!

Our example will use sol mi la, but it's the same process for any melodic concept or grade level.

We'll prioritize active review and assessment through:
Singing games
Noticing and exploring sounds
Articulating what we hear and adding a classroom label
Applying our learning in a new context

All of this gives us the foundation for melodic assessment that we need at the beginning of the school year!
