In this video, we’ll look at how the 7-string guitar first entered the rock mainstream, why its introduction mattered, and how it paved the way for the heavier sounds of the 1990s and beyond. From its roots in classical and jazz to its leap into hard rock, this is the story of the surprising first use of a 7-string guitar in rock music history.
