The Aster speaker derives its name from the Latin word for “star” and the iconic maxim, “Per aspera ad astra”, which stands for “through hardships to the stars.” Central to its design principle is its IP65 certification which lets the speakers withstand harsh outdoor elements offering ingress protection from rain and dust. The speaker system sports a high-quality PC-ABS housing with UV absorber finish which ensures long endurance that all the elements will throw at it.

Flaunting a unique, slim and organic shape, the 2-way speaker integrates a 5.81” woofer and a 1.07” mid/high-frequency driver. These are flanked by two passive radiators on the side to increase efficiency, eliminate distortion and deliver a tight bass response. Together this driver configuration and unique design deliver a clear sound output with a wide dispersion area, which is a prerequisite for speakers in high ambient noise environments.

Installing the speaker is easy. Sonus Faber integrates a mounting aluminum bracket with a simple turn-mechanism bayonet system to install the speaker easily and securely. The spring mechanism inside the Aster speakers makes it easy to tilt it 15 degrees at a time, without adjusting any screws.
