I'm super excited to share with you my complete makeover journey of transforming my small living room from a drab neglected space into a cozy retreat that's perfect for relaxing and spending time with loved ones. This is a realistic makeover that took me over a year to pull together! I am decorating in the traditional maximalist style that I love. For me, it's all about creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that's perfect for everyday living as an empty nester!

So, let's dive into some budget-friendly ideas that'll help you redecorate your own home. Thrift stores are a great place to start - you can find everything from vintage decorative items to gently used furniture that just needs a little TLC. I've found some amazing pieces at my local thrift store, and with a little creativity, I've turned them into one-of-a-kind decor.

DIY projects are another fantastic way to save money and add a personal touch to your space. From repainting old furniture to creating your own wall art, there are countless ways to get creative and make your space truly unique. I've made some of my favorite decorative items myself, and it's amazing what unique one-of-a-kind home decor they can make.
