The Scriptures Are Ours

The Old Testament belongs to Christ, and to Christians, His joint heirs. Not you.
Abraham is our father, not yours.
Moses is our prophet, not yours.
You reject David, who sang of the One whose hands and feet were pierced and whose garments were divided by lot.
You reject Isaiah, who prophesied of the servant bruised for our iniquities and crushed for our transgressions.
You reject Daniel, who foretold the Anointed One cut off, but not for himself, before the destruction of the city and the sanctuary.
You reject Micah, who declared that the ruler of Israel would come forth from Bethlehem, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.
You reject Zechariah, who spoke of the one whom you would pierce and over whom you would mourn as for an only son.
You reject Jacob, who foretold that the scepter would not depart from Judah nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet until Shiloh comes, and to Him shall be the obedience of the peoples. You even reject Shiloh Himself!
You reject Jeremiah, who promised a New Covenant in which God would forgive sin and remember iniquity no more.
You reject Hosea, who proclaimed that God would call His Son out of Egypt.
You reject Malachi, who foretold the Lord suddenly coming to His temple, preceded by the messenger who would prepare the way.
You reject Balaam, who foresaw a star and a scepter rising out of Jacob, Solomon, who sang of a king whose dominion would extend to the ends of the earth and endure forever, and Asaph, who proclaimed that God would reject false shepherds and raise up His chosen king to shepherd His people in righteousness.
You rejected the prophets, and stoned them. You built sepulchers to them, to try to wash the blood off your hands. But you rejected them all then, and reject them all now.
God does not listen to you. God does not hear your prayers. And I am deeply, deeply sorry than any Christian has dared imply we worship the same god, because your god is not Yahweh.
Your father is Satan. Your synagogues are erected in his honor.
I’d point out that God tires of your feasts, and rejects your sacrifices. But Christ Almighty destroyed your temple by divine decree and you’ve not offered legitimate Jewish worship in 1,955 years.
Now, you’ve a choice. Worship your Messiah and now to your King, or be about tidying Jerusalem and sweeping Israel. Care for our holy sites and polish our relics. Because one day soon, the Christ you crucified is returning to reclaim His earthly home and turn you into foot stool and rule over you with a rod of iron.
His first act will be to evict every last unbelieving Jew and Muslim from the Holy Land at the tip of His own sword so as to not sully it with the presence of your unbelief.
Oh, but you’re the chosen! No you aren’t. We are. Do you not know your own supposed Scriptures?
Have you not read God speak through Malachi, declaring that He would reject your sacrifices entirely and take His name to the Gentiles instead?
Have you not read Jeremiah, who quotes God promising to tear down a nation He planted if it persists in evil, and build another if it obeys?
Christians are the children of Abraham, while unbelieving Jews have been cut off.
So while I appreciate your noble effort to lecture Christians about why Replacement Theology is wrong, I reject the premise that you believe the Old Testament. For if you did, you’d believe in Christ.
