A high-ranking member of the Sinaloa Cartel has been arrested in Arizona and charged in connection with a drug trafficking and money laundering ring based in North Carolina, including Guilford County.
Emmanuel Martimiano Leon-Soto, 42, of Naco, Mexico, was taken into custody in Nogales, Arizona. He was the last of 38 individuals indicted in November 2024 following a federal investigation led by a grand jury in Greensboro.
