Описание: On the night of January 29th, an American Airlines regional jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter collided midair, crashing into the icy Potomac River near Reagan Washington National Airport. The helicopter involved was a Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, a versatile and widely used military aircraft in the U.S. Army, known for roles like air assault, medevac, and special operations. The specific Black Hawk, with the call sign PAT25, had three people onboard at the time of the crash. Over 5,000 of these helicopters have been built since the 1970s. The commercial jet, a Bombardier CRJ700, is a staple of regional aviation, typically seating about 70 passengers. There are around 260 of these planes in service today. The plane in the crash, registered as N530EA, was built in 2010 and was carrying 60 passengers and four crew members. While owned by American Airlines, it was operated by PSA Airlines, a subsidiary. Production of the CRJ700 stopped in 2020 after Mitsubishi Heavy Industries took over the program in 2019. Both aircraft were involved in this tragic incident on the night of January 29th, with authorities continuing their investigations.
