Ghughuti or Ghughutiya is a traditional festival of Uttarakhand, celebrated every year on Makar Sankranti. This festival is also known as Ghughutiya, Ghughutia, or Kale Kauwa festival. On this day, children wear garlands made of Ghughute (sweet fried dough rings) and sing the famous Ghughuti rhyme to invite crows.
