The BYD e2, a stylish electric compact hatchback, has now become a part of the Ocean series. With its impressive features, it is only a matter of time before it receives an international version and is exported to Europe and Australia.

Measuring 4.260×1.760×1.530 mm in length, width, and height respectively, the BYD e2 boasts a compact size ideal for urban environments. Its wheelbase spans 2.610 mm, with a front and rear wheelbase of 1.490 mm and 1.470 mm respectively.

Under the hood, the BYD e2 features an AC permanent magnet synchronous motor, delivering a maximum power of 70 kW and a torque of 180 N.m. This powertrain enables the e2 to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, offering swift and responsive performance.

When it comes to range, the BYD e2 impresses with a 405 km range under CLTC (China's National Passenger Car Fuel Consumption Standard). This range is made possible by a 43.2 kWh module-less LFP (LiFePO4) battery, known as the BYD Blade. Recharging is convenient and efficient, with a fast charging time of just 30 minutes from 30% to 80% using DC charging at 40 kW. For AC charging, the e2 supports 6.6 kW charging. Additionally, the vehicle offers VTOL (vehicle to load) functionality, enabling it to provide a 3.3 kW power supply to external devices.

The BYD e2 is designed with modern technology in mind, featuring wireless keys that utilize Bluetooth and NFC connectivity for seamless access. Its air conditioning system utilizes an efficient heat pump, ensuring a comfortable cabin environment. Both the interior and exterior lights are illuminated by energy-efficient LED technology, providing clear visibility and reducing power consumption.
