Have you ever said yes when you should have said no. Not because you wanted to, but because saying no felt impossible?
In Exodus 32, Aaron faces the crowd's emotional demand for an idol while Moses is on the mountain. He knows it's wrong. He's witnessed God's power. But when the pressure comes, Aaron caves—and what he thought was caring became catastrophe.
In this message, we walk through Aaron's three steps to disaster: the pressure he felt when people gathered and demanded, the compromise he made by fashioning the golden calf and rebranding it as worship, and the excuses he made when confronted ("out came this calf"—as if it happened by itself). We expose the pattern of accommodation that leads from compliance to rationalization to blame-shifting, and we discover what Aaron should have done instead: resist, redirect, and trust God with the outcome.
Join us as we learn to resist emotional pressure without losing compassion, because when you say yes to people's pressure to disobey God, you say no to God's glory. Care without caving.
