There are two major competing views of God: He is either Unitarian or Trinitarian. While most Christians give lip service to believing in the Trinity, at a fundamental level many are still influenced by the pagan Greek concept of a distant, aloof, solitary god who is solo and separate from creation. But the fact that God is Trinity gives way to sidesplitting laughter, as Jesus was able to enter His creation, redeem it and return it back to His Father. Now Holy Spirit is waking us up to the hilarity over the whole thing and enabling us to enjoy the party!
This week, John Crowder unpackages thoughts by Peter Leithart comparing these two views of God to the dramatic genres of "tragedy" and "comedy."
