The Quezon Protected Landscape (QPL) is a 1,042.85-hectare area classified as “Very High” priority for biodiversity conservation.
QPL teems with flora of rare species and fauna forest species. Philippine macaque, Philippine Rind Rat, Rufous Hornbill, and Philippine Deer are some of the fauna thriving. Species of birds like Rufous Coucal, Philippine Forest Kingfisher, Spotted Wood Kingfisher, and Luzon Little Crow to name a few are also known to be dwelling in the area.
Not only known for rich biodiversity, the beautiful mountains of QPL are getting known as a tourist destination in Region 4A. Their fascinating caves, waterfalls, springs, creeks, gorges, ravines, and lush greenery attract more and more people as year goes by. Wildlife enthusiasts are also enthralled in the rich fauna present.
