Black Scare / Red Scare Study Group Announcement + Some Sunday Thoughts on Iran

Описание: For our next study group, from April 8th through May 27th we will engage in collective study around Charise Burden-Stelly’s book Black Scare / Red Scare: Theorizing Capitalist Racism in the United States. This book is crucial for understanding the historical development of USAmerican policies of anti-communism and anti-black racism, and the deployment of counter-subversive campaigns against Black liberation and radical socialist and communist movements. Through Dr. Burden-Stelly’s analyses of Wall Street imperialism, US capitalist racist society, the problem (for the US) of Black self-determination, war, expropriation, anticommunism as a mode of governance, US fascism, and True Americanism, we get to a fuller understanding of the historical architecture and the ideological of state repression within empire as well as the necessity for solidarity between various struggles against empire.
