This historic park was founded in the 19th century by the Persian nobleman Mir Fatah Agha, who served as a consul in Tbilisi. He created a beautiful garden here for his Georgian wife, and over time the place became a popular public park.
In 1935, one of the first children’s railways in the world was opened here. The railway was run by children who learned railway professions, and it quickly became one of the most famous attractions of the park.
In this video we walk along the park paths and enjoy the calm atmosphere of early spring. It’s March and still a bit cold, but the park remains a pleasant place for a quiet walk.
