There's a bunch of different texture maps in existence. AO maps, displacement maps, metalness, pointiness, masking maps, emission maps and so on. Yet, us designers, really only need to worry about 3: Diffuse, Roughness and Normal maps.
So here you go; a basic introduction on making PBR (photorealistic) materials using these texture maps. Cheers!
