just under 1 cup (115 grams) plain or all-purpose flour
1 tsp. (4 grams) baking powder
1/4 tsp. (1 gram) salt
1/2 tsp. (2 grams) cinnamon
1 tsp. (4 grams) nutmeg
1/2 cup (115 grams) butter, room temperature
just over 1 cup (225 grams) caster sugar (or granulated sugar)
3 eggs, separated
3 fl. oz. (85 ml) whisky
butter, for greasing the tin
powdered (icing) sugar, for dusting (optional)
