Meanwhile, markets like Quebec City are seeing massive double-digit price gains despite economic fears.

In this monthly Canadian real estate market update, I break down the latest stats, trends, and data for Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, and Halifax to show you exactly what is happening in your local market.

Vancouver Real Estate Market: Sales are down 25%, and inventory is at record highs. Prices have officially dropped back to 2022 levels. Is this the best buyer's market in Canada? Toronto Real Estate Market: It's been 20 years since sales were this low! Inventory is up nearly 90%, and the benchmark price has fallen to $942,900. Ottawa Real Estate Market: Despite fears of government job losses, Ottawa prices remain resilient. Inventory is up 79%, but it’s still technically a seller's market. Montreal Real Estate Market: Sales and new listings are both down, but prices are holding strong at $570,000 (up 5% year-over-year). Quebec City Real Estate Market: The outlier of 2026! While others cool, Quebec City prices have surged 12% year-over-year to over $420k. 8:15 - Halifax Real Estate Market: Inventory is finally recovering (up 36%), but prices keep climbing, now averaging over $609,000
