PLEASE READ BEFORE DISCUSSING POSSIBILITIES FOR THE NUKE ENDING BEING CANON!!
Just like the game series ‘The Legend of Zelda,’ Far Cry has multiple timelines.
The nuke ending is not canon to the original main-title timeline (FC1-2-3-4-5-6), and my video shows some proof of that.
An alternative timeline exists: Five’s Nuke Ending - Joseph DLC - New Dawn.
Of course, a game series that has multiple endings has multiple timelines!
Some disproven facts of the nuke ending being ‘canon:’
CLAIM: “Boom-Boom is not Boomer.” - False. It has been stated multiple times that Boomer and Boom-Boom are the same dog! (also, in the note! Because, why would Hurk send another dog to Yara while keeping Boomer in Montana?)
CLAIM: “Far Cry 6 takes place before Far Cry 5.” - False. Dani’s license is said to have been created on the 7th of October, 2021 (The game’s release date).
CLAIM: “Only Montana was nuked.” - False. It is stated in the bio of the trailers for New Dawn that the nuclear war was a “global nuclear catastrophe.”
Also, in the intro to New Dawn, it is stated that Rush and his team helped places rebuild after the war. The only reason he and The Captain (the player) ended up in Hope County was because they were on a train going to Montana.
CLAIM: “Hurk could've shipped Boomer before the events of New Dawn, and the others thought he was dead.” - This is impossible. In the intro of New Dawn, Carmina says she was SIX years old when she first saw the world. Carmina was born right after liberating John’s region in FC5 in 2018. 2018 + 6 years = 2024. Three years after the events of FC6.
It is also stated in the intro that civilization in Hope County started being rebuilt at the same time, so we can, therefore, assume that Hurk left the bunkers at the same time. (Also, it could mean that Boomer died in one of the bunkers since his grave is in one.)
And we know Hurk, he would definitely not be quiet about this. (Could he have sent him away right before the nuke? Maybe, but we see him in the battle against Joseph & we can have Boomer until that point. I don't think he would risk his life, in the first moments of a nuclear bomb being exploded, to ship a dog overseas.)
Why the secret ending makes sense:
All Seed siblings are alive. (Since ‘The Seed Family’ was referenced. It's not Dep - Joseph. Joseph wouldn't be sending seeds from Dutch’s bunker to Yara in the middle of a nuclear apocalypse.)
None of the events in Far Cry 5 happens, which explains why Hurk sent Boomer away ‘for safety.’ because he was sensing that Eden’s Gate was getting worse.
It explains the flag in FC6’s secret ending. Eden’s Gate has managed to bloom, as we also see in The Seed Family’s letter. (they sent bliss to Yara)
Let me know if I missed any hints of the Nuke Ending not being canon! And if you disagree, let me know why!
