Madhaura of Chhapra district of Bihar was once a factory hub. At one time there used to be 4 factories here including a sugar mill and a Morton factory. But one by one all the four factories were closed. Today only ruins are left. This is the area of Saran Lok Sabha seat. From where BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy is the MP. RJD leader Jitendra Kumar Rai is the MLA from Madhaura assembly constituency. People of the area say that the local leaders have nothing to do with these factories.
Assembly elections are going to be held in Bihar. Since there are elections, there is a debate on the issue of unemployment and migration in Bihar. But the closed factories are out of the discussion.
