This video has been transferred from an old VHS cassette, discovered hidden away by John Love Jnr.
This footage shows the old yard at Normanby in the centre of Brisbane on a regular Saturday.
A few points of interest are the shunting being done by 1734D which had very recently received it's driver only conversion as well as it's shiny and new (at the time) corporate livery.
At around the 36 minute mark, a string of the short lived Road Railers can be seen. Around the 32 minute mark, DD17 1051 "Blue Baby" can be seen on a tour. This locomotive had not long been back in traffic for the QR heritage fleet.
