Wow, my longest video for a very long time. It started out in my head as a vid about the differences and similarities between Damon/Katherine and Stefan/Elena, but it developed, as I was making it, into a video about the progression of the Damon/Elena/Stefan love triangle.

I'm so excited to see how the triangle progresses in S3! The summer is going to be WAY too long without TVD. I'm looking forward to seeing more Delena, but my heart is completely aching for poor Steffles! Why, oh, why do I ship both of them??

Storyline: Damon's been waiting for Katherine for 145 years, obsessed with the memory of her and desperate to get her out of the tomb so they can be together. However, when she finally does 'come home', she tells him she always loved Stefan, not him, leaving him broken and lost. Meanwhile, Stefan has been waiting all his life to find the love which Lexi told him made all the pain worthwhile. He finds it in Elena and, for a time, they are blissfully happy until Stefan has to bow to Klaus' demands, only able to protect Elena through his submission. Without a purpose, once Katherine has dashed his hopes, Damon finds himself falling for Elena, seduced by her vitality and compassion. He knows she's too good for him, just like Katherine knows Stefan is the only good part of her, but he needs her -- desperately -- to hold onto the good he has found in himself. Once again, the brothers are locked in a struggle, all coming down to the love of a woman. However, when all their lives are threatened, both Salvatores do what they must to keep the woman they love safe.
