Washington Pacific Crest Trail | Stevens Pass to Canada

Описание: This section of the Washington Pacific Crest Trail was by far the most difficult stretch of Washington PCT. Stevens Pass to Canada are considered Section K and Section L of the PCT.

Backpacking from Stevens Pass to Rainy Pass (Section K) was a grueling 127-mile trek through some of the most amazing views I've ever experienced on the trail.

Around the 100 mile mark is the small town of Stehekin. It's the only resupply point, and there are no roads in or out. You can only get there by plane, boat, or foot. This was the perfect spot to rest and resupply before tackling the next section.

Rainy Pass to the Canadan border (Section L) was 70 miles- but because I didn't cross over into Canada I had to backtrack another 40 miles to Hart's Pass, which is the only forest service road accessible by vehicle to catch a ride.

This last leg of the Pacific Crest Trail had breathtaking views of jagged peaks of the Cascades to valleys, ridges, meadows and woods in the expansive and rugged, rolling terrain as it passed along the eastern edge of the North Cascades.

I backpacked a few sections of the WA PCT in 2019 and 2020 and finally finished it in 2023. It feels great to have completed both the OR and WA sections of the PCT... even if it has taken longer than I initially imagined. But hey- that's life.
