This is a visual how-to care guide for acrylic fabric. This video highlights how to take proper care of acrylic clothing and garments in your closet.
Basic characteristics of acrylic -
Soft, warm & lightweight
Retains shape and resists shrinkage and wrinkles
Dyes to bright colors
Resistant to sunlight, moths, oils & chemicals
Absorption & release of moisture is quick
Hold pleats
Care Instructions -
Washing instructions - Acrylic is machine washable in warm water.
Drying instructions - Acrylic clothing should be laid flat to dry. Put it on a dry towel and let it air dry.
Ironing instructions - Turn fabric inside out and iron on low temperature.
While taking care of acrylic fabric it is important to note -
If the item feels delicate, hand wash it
Reshape the item to its original shape before drying
Don’t wring
Note - As best practice, always follow the garment’s care label for exact instructions. If there isn’t one, just follow this guide & it will help your acrylic fabric last longer.
