Overview:
Jan must take care of his mother, who is ill with Alzheimer's disease. He has no experience as a caregiver, but he will have to overcome challenges and seeks the best way to make his mother feel better. It's a story of family love, realistic and moving. A tribute to caregivers and Alzheimer's patients that has transcended into the social sphere.

Director Biography -

Dani Feixas is a filmmaker, documentarian, and advertising director. He has been nominated for the 2024 Goya Awards and the 2023 Forqué Awards for his film "Paris 70". He graduated in Audiovisual Communication from UVIC-UCC and in Production of Fiction Series from EFTI. He has directed "Paris 70", "La Pilarín", and "Liverpool Catalán". He has worked with agencies and production companies, creating branded content for Samsung, Reebok, Amazon, Netflix, and dozens of music videos. His works have amassed over 200 million views on YouTube.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in social projects, using his filmmaking expertise to raise awareness for causes such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and people with special abilities.

Currently, he is writing and directing his first feature film, which will address Alzheimer's disease, with the production company Morena Films.

Director Statement:

The short film "Paris 70" is based on a very personal experience of the director. His grandmother died of Alzheimer's, and his mother took care of her at home until the end. This disease is considered the epidemic of the 21st century, and by 2050, cases are expected to triple. It is truly a problem that needs social visibility so that governments invest resources in research. "Paris 70" is a short film that was internationally premiered at the Heartland Film Festival in the USA, has won an Honorable Mention at the Cleveland Film Festival, and has been nominated for Best Fiction Short Film at the 2024 Goya Awards. It is also the most awarded short film in Spain in 2023. But most importantly, the film has made a significant impact on the social and healthcare sectors. It has been screened at over 70 associations of Alzheimer's patients' families and hospitals throughout Spain.
