In May of 1961, Ivan and Doris Schoen packed up their comfortable lives in the United States and moved their family to the jungles of Suriname to share the love of Christ with the Amazon’s indigenous peoples. With three toddlers in tow, they pitched a tent on a riverbank and began a ministry which would see generations of lives transformed by the gospel.
