Описание: The Camiño dos Faros, also known as the Lighthouse Route, in the far northwest of Galicia is a beautiful 200 km trek along the Costa da Morte. You walk along the rugged coastline as much as possible, mostly on narrow paths alternating with wide sandy beaches and the characteristic Rías. Where this rough coast used to mean the end for many sailors, there is now a lot of beauty to be seen for the experienced hiker.

The route is divided into 8 stages of around 25 km, depending on the difficulty of the route and the available places to stay overnight. The route can be walked as a whole or in parts with corresponding welcoming hotels, packed lunches, and baggage transport.

In the video, we show in 10 minutes the varied and rocky terrain of the eighth and final stage. This stage ends at the peninsula and cape of Finisterre. Here also ends the pilgrim route (0.00 on the post) for those who continue to walk to Finisterre after Santiago de la Compostela, "the end of the world" as the Romans called the town on the coast. Visit the end to start anew.

De Camiño dos Faros ofwel de Vuurtorenroute in het uiterste Noordwesten van Galicia is een prachtige tocht van 200 km langs de Costa da Morte. Je loopt zoveel mogelijk langs de grillige kustlijn over veelal smalle paadjes afgewisseld met de brede zandstranden en de kenmerkende Rías. Waar voor veel zeevaarders deze ruige kust vroeger het einde betekende is er voor de geoefende wandelaar nu heel veel moois te zien.

De route is verdeeld in 8 etappes van rond de 25 km, afhankelijk van de zwaarte van de route en de beschikbare plaatsen om te overnachten. De route kan je als geheel of in delen ervan lopen met bijpassende gastvrije hotels, lunchpakketten en bagagevervoer.

In de video laten we in 10 minuten het gevarieerde en rotsachtige terrein zien van de achtste en laatste etappe. Deze eindigt bij het schiereiland en de kaap van Fisterre. Hier eindigt ook de pelgrimsroute (0,00 op de paal) voor diegenen die na Santiago de la Compostela nog doorlopen naar Finisterre, 'het einde van de wereld' zoals de Romeinen het plaatsje aan de kust al noemden. Bezoek het einde om opnieuw te kunnen beginnen.
