Описание: The CARES Act Mortgage Forbearance allowed homeowners to take a pause from mortgage payments for up to 18 months. Over 3.4 Million Americans or about 7% of single family households in the United States took advantage of this program. Now, most of those homeowners who have not already caught up their payments are seeking modification or deferral to cure the arrears -- and many are hitting a brick wall or facing significant roadblocks because their Lender or Servicer is not granting a modification or other home retention options, but is leaving these homeowners out to dry. What do you do in this situation? First, you have to target a specific loan modification with a laser focus, keeping in mind the programs offered by your Lender and Servicer. Second, you should understand the context of why Lenders and Servicers are resisting modifying these loans. Third, you should get professional help to ensure you do not end up in foreclosure.
