I completed my third marathon, and it was brutal! It was supposed to be a sub-4 marathon, but anything could happen.
They say every marathon has a story. Mine isn't about setting a personal best or chasing glory.
My story is about what happens when your body breaks and your plan falls apart.
I showed up believing I was ready. But the race has a way of reminding you who’s in charge.
One minute, I was running strong; the next, a wrong drink sent my world spinning.
My stomach flipped, my vision went blurry, and my legs felt like stone.
I was on the edge of stopping, of walking off the course and saying, “Maybe not today.”
I didn’t run the perfect race, but I ran the one that showed up.
I finished it, not because it got easier, but because I refused to quit.
Maybe a revenge marathon next time? It was a lot of fun! ☺️🔥
