During a consultation, you and your doctor will establish goals for your hair transplant and determine whether you’re a candidate for a hair transplant and FUE in particular, how many grafts will be needed, and how many sessions that might take. You’ll also discuss the proper hairstyle to wear to make the transition as seamless as possible, since the donor area will need to be shaved. An antibiotic regimen will be necessary prior to and after the procedure. Some patients may also need mild pain medication.
