Ingredients of Chilli Soya:
1 cup soya chunks
1 egg
3 tbs cornflour
1 tbs plain flour (or maida)
2 tbs soya sauce
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
salt to taste
3 tbs oil
5-6 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
1 green chilli (finely chopped)
1 large onion (cut into cubes)
1 capsicum (cut into cubes)
2 tbs tomato sauce
1 tbs vinegar
Method of Chilli Soya:
Soak the soya chunks in hot water for 10-15 mins. Now squeeze out all the excess water from the soya chunks & keep it in a bowl.
For marinate the soya chunks add egg, cornflour(2 tbs), plain flour, salt, soya sauce(1 tbs), & ginger-garlic paste into it. Mix everything well and keep aside for 10-15 mins.
Heat oil(2 tbs) in a pan & add the marinated soya chunks. Fry for 4-5 mins on medium flame till golden color. Take out & keep aside.
Heat some oil(1 tbs) again. Add garlic & green chillies. Fry for 30 sec. Add onion & capsicum. Fry for 1 minute on medium flame. Now add tomato sauce, soya sauce(1 tbs), vinegar. Mix the sauces well. Add fried soya chunks & mix well.
In a bowl add cornflour(1 tbs) and some water . Mix well to make a slurry. Add it to the gravy. (*It helps to thicken the gravy)
Add salt & let it cook for 1 minute.
Your Chilli Soya is ready to serve.

Here I have soya bean chunks that I had soaked in water. We will add them to the oil and saute it nicely. The oil is heated nicely. Now we will add the soybeans. We will saute them nicely. We have to keep it on high flame. And after these chunks are soaked in water. Boil them in hot water so that they are softened.
