In recent years, Oanh Le has worked hard to familiarize visitors to Vietnam with Vietnamese cuisine. For example, she wrote the "Da Nang Street Food guide". She also gave many Street Food tours in Da Nang and got to know Roby Bellemans, the former director of the Vietnamese Terracotta Park & Museum near Hoi An. Roby helped her with her Art for Children gallery and told her about his difficulties with the Vietnamese language. And especially with the language of the food. He thought it would be so much fun to sit on such a tiny chair on the sidewalk, ask in Vietnamese what smells so good .... and to understand the answer!
Well: one learns by doing! And that is the principle of our cookbooks and videos. As a true Vietnamese, Oanh loves food and cooking and Roby has an educational background.
