A song that definetely deserves more love. I’ve loved it since day one. I’m almost 100 % sure this one would have been a hit if it was released in the 80s. The chorus is hit material for sure, and to think this one was never perfomed live (except a short acoustic snippet) is such a shame..
Guitar wise, Richie really brings his A game. It’s a lot of his signature bluesy stuff. The kind of playing he really only showcased at full strength in the 90s. Richie for sure was at his best as a performer, songwriter and guitarist in the 90s in my opinion. If you love Richie’s playing, you must love this one.
