This video is a set of fixes to help to eliminate the Step 7 Micro/WIN error: Port could not be opened or is being used by the other application.

Fix #1. Check if it is not used by other SIEMENS software.
Fix #2. Check if the PG PC is the only master on the bus.
Fix #3. Try a different USB slot of your PC.
Fix #4. Install the newest driver for your adapter.
Fix #5. Update your Micro/Win with newest service pack.
Fix #6. Completly reinstall your Step 7 Micro/Win
Fix #7. Check for faulty cable.
