Pitfall Alert!!! Atrophic Skeletal Muscle Can Be Tricky! 5-Minute Pathology Pearls

Описание: Atrophic skeletal muscle cells can look pretty wild and crazy. When they get entrapped within a tumor or in reactive processes, they can be confused with pleomorphism/malignancy or rhabdomyoblastic differentiation. Once you know the trick, they are usually pretty easy to recognize on H&E. For those who are curious, you can tell the dramatic difference in style from my old videos (e.g. - nodular fasciitis) where I spoke slowly and heavily edited the video and my new videos (e.g. - MPNST) where I speak quickly with little scripting or rehearsal and almost no editing. The old style is more polished, but it took forever to make those , which is why I stopped for several years. Plus, that's not how I am in real life! So I decided to just record videos pretty much off the cuff with little practice and release them with little editing aside from splicing them together or cutting out gaps in recording. After all, this is how I do teaching in real life every day with my residents and fellows!
