This won't be interesting to most people, but here's the archive of a live stream of our attempts at hatching 14 chicken eggs. In the end, 12 of them hatched but, unfortunately, YouTube decided that the video contained 'inappropriate content' and blocked it for 48 hours.
We had never done this before and this is the only evidence we have of it (apart from a box full of very cute, fluffy, noisy chicks.)
So it is preserved here purely for posterity.
In case any of you are trying this yourselves, my summary is:
Don't worry too much about humidity levels in your incubator.
Just leave them be.
It'll probably be fine.
Also, there will be a temptation to stay up all night and check on them every 5 minutes, but it turns out that you might as well get a good night's sleep instead and let nature take its course.
