The main focus of production is thin film and short path distillation plants at laboratory, pilot and industrial scale as well as the manufacturing of the components of these plants (wiped film evaporator, short path evaporator, thin film evaporator…). These distillation plants are operated for purification, concentration, removal of low boilers, colour improvement and drying of products in various industries. Thin film evaporators can also be used as reboilers for distillation columns. There are applications for thin film distillation in the chemical, agrochemical, pharmaceutical, polymer and food chemistry industries.

In addition to the manufacturing of plants and apparatus for wiped film and short path distillation, VTA performs feasibility studies, process development, laboratory and pilot trials. The tests are carried out on laboratory and pilot plants of different design and size in the company's technical centre. Based on the experiments, VTA can offer product and process warranties for the process equipment.
The manufacturing of the main components is done at VTA site in Niederwinkling as well as at STREICHER Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG located in Deggendorf. The local closeness of process development, design and manufacturing enables VTA to fastly respond to customer requests during the manufacturing phase as well. Thus, the best possible solution even for complex problems is achieved for customers.
VTA is also offering toll distillation to the customers.
