Описание: I’ve watched a lot of cricket over the past several months, but one thing I’ve realized is that I don’t always know what makes a specific cricket shot a specific shot.

So this video is part of a new series where I’m slowing things down and asking a simple question:
What actually is a cover drive?

To do that, I’m reacting to a compilation of cover drives played by Virat Kohli — not because this video is necessarily about him as a player, but because he’s widely regarded as one of the best examples of this particular shot.

The goal of this series is to learn how to recognize and understand cricket’s most famous shots by studying the players who are best known for them.

If you’re new to cricket, or if you’ve watched for years but never quite put names to the shots, this series is for you.
